Oudewater is easily accessible by car and public transport. There are bus connections to Utrecht, Woerden and Gouda. There is free parking along the edge of the inner city.

Directions

Oudewater is located along the provincial road Gouda – Utrecht (bus line 107). From the A12 highway, take exit Nieuwerbrug-Driebruggen and follow the signs towards Oudewater. De Heksenwaag is located in the centre of town. In Oudewater, there are signs you can follow to get there.

Oudewater was the only town in all of Europe to receive the privilege of an honest weighing process from Emperor Charles V. No one was ever condemned as a witch there.
